Capybara
Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world. They are found in central America and water is their main source of life. They're vegetarians and they mainly eat water, plants, and grasses. The Capybara's life span is 8 to 10 years and they grow to about two feet long. They are related to guinea pigs and have common features of the hippo life for example, their webbed feet and thick fur.
Adaptation
The grass in Central South America is growing taller because of and increase in the rain fall. The Capybara normally eats this grass but it's now unable to since they normally have short legs. The Capybaras legs slowly begin to get longer so the can reach the tips of the grass. Their heads get a bit longer and their necks become skinnier.
Capybara Song
Capy capy, bara baras
The Capybara is an amazing creature
But they will change over time because of nature.
The grass in South Amercia is growing up
So who grows with it? The Capybara does!
Their bodies grow smaller, their neck grows taller.
Their legs get longer, now they're much more stronger!
Capy capy, bara baras
So why are we singing this song?
To remember Capybaras when they were small!
